Yutan Sun (孙 羽谈) is an architect and visual artist based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Yutan holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Tsinghua University, where she graduated with honors, and is currently pursuing her M.Arch degree at MIT. Having been educated and practiced in China, US and Europe, Yutan has worked with a list of reputational offices of different scales, including Deshaus Atelier, Amid.Cero9, UNStudio Amsterdam and Neri&Hu, where she gained experience in schematic design, parametric design and architecture curation.

Yutan’s academic interests lie in architectural narratives, analogy methodology, and architecture & media. Her recent works focus on the image-making of architecture and its cultural, epistemological and political ramification. Parallel to her architectural practice, Yutan also takes an interest in installation design and visual arts, where she sees opportunities for deploying architectural knowledge and perspective.
